TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Booking and Financial Policies
  • Reservation Deposit: A 100% charter is required to secure your booking date.
  • Balance Due: The remaining 100% balance must be paid before boarding the vessel.
  • Payment Methods: We accept electronic fund transfers (EFT), major credit cards.
  • Pricing Inclusions: Rates include boat charter, skipper, crew, fuel, bait, and use of fishing tackle.
  1. Cancellation and Refund Policy
  • Client Cancellation: Deposits are not refundable.
  • Weather Cancellations: The skipper retains absolute authority to cancel a trip due to unsafe sea or weather conditions.
  • Alternative Arrangements: If cancelled by the skipper, clients receive a rescheduled date.
  1. Safety, Conduct, and Authority
  • Skipper Authority: The skipper is in full command of the vessel at all times.
  • Compliance: Passengers must follow all safety briefings and crew instructions immediately.
  • Illegal Substances: Zero tolerance for illegal drugs; possession results in immediate trip termination without refund.
  • Alcohol Consumption: Moderate alcohol consumption is permitted at the skipper’s discretion; intoxication will end the trip.
  • Right of Refusal: The crew reserves the right to refuse boarding to anyone deemed unsafe or disruptive.
  1. Liability and Damages
  • Assumption of Risk: Passengers acknowledge that ocean angling involves inherent marine risks.
  • Liability Waiver: Dassen Fishing Charters accepts no liability for personal injury, illness, or loss of personal property.
  • Equipment Damage: Clients are financially responsible for rods, reels, or gear lost or broken due to negligence.
  • Vessel Damage: Any malicious or negligent damage to the boat will be billed directly to the client.
  1. Fish Catch and Regulatory Compliance
  • Permits Required: Every passenger must possess a valid recreational fishing permit before boarding.
  • Bag Limits: All fishing will strictly adhere to local government catch restrictions and bag limits.
  • Catch Allocation: Standard legal catches belong to the clients, up to legal limits, unless specified otherwise.
